FAQ

Straight answers.

Common questions about the clinic, treatments, and billing.

General

Do I need a doctor's referral?

Michigan is a Direct Access state: you can see a physical therapist for up to 21 days or 10 visits without a prescription. Beyond that, a physician prescription is required for continued care.

What should I wear?

Comfortable athletic clothing. We need access to the body part we are treating and a clear view of your movement patterns.

How long are appointments?

Evaluations run 60–90 minutes. Follow-ups are a full 60 minutes of one-on-one time with your Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Treatment

Does dry needling hurt?

Most patients feel a small pinprick or nothing at all on insertion. Hitting a trigger point can produce a brief 'twitch' or deep ache that dissipates quickly.

Is BFR training safe?

Yes — when administered by certified professionals. We use FDA-cleared Doppler systems to personalize pressure to your specific limb occlusion pressure.

Insurance & Billing

Do you accept my insurance?

We accept most major PPO plans including BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Priority Health, Humana, and Medicare — plus competitive self-pay rates for out-of-network patients.

What will my copay be?

Copays vary by plan. We verify your specific benefits and give you a cost estimate before your first visit — no surprise bills.
